Ingredients

  • 500g of flour
  • 250ml of warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg yolk
  • 30g of fresh yeast (or 7g of dry yeast)
  • 80g melted butter
  • 50g of sugar
  • a pinch of salt

Additionally

  • 70g of melted butter
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 20g of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of valilla sugar
  • 1 egg for paining the rolls
  • 2 tablespoon of milk

Preparation

In a small pot put yeast, milk, and sugar; gently warm them on a stove.

To a large bowl add sifted flour, beaten egg, and salt. Mix them together.

Add the yeast mixture to the bowl with flour and work the dough. After a quick mix, add the melted butter and work, until the dough absorbs the butter.

Once the dough is ready, leave it for 60 minutes in a warm place. Cover it with a dry cloth.

Forming rolls

Put the dough on a countertop and work it for a moment to remove any gas that might’ve gathered. Split into two equal parts. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, paint it with the melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll into a roll and cut it into smaller pieces (width around 1.5cm–2cm).

Lay them on a tray with baking paper and leave them for 15–20 minutes in a warm place.

Next, turn on the oven to 180°C. Paint the rolls with a beaten egg and bake them for 15–20 minutes.
